August 09, 2009 Why the rush? Why hurry to pass a set of laws that no politician has had time to read? What is the reason behind the push? When the country was formed it was the House of Representatives that pushed laws in a rapid manner. The hurry up and get it done attitude was prevalent in the House since the country began. Thus to slow things, down the Senate was formed. It was their tasks to ensure that the laws being passed were good for the country, for the individual. But not now. Now laws are being enacted at a pace never-before-seen in this country. Laws that will affect every man, woman and child in hideous ways not yet imagined. If the politic-elected is going to change laws in such a massive nature, is it not prudent to understand what and how the language of such laws are written? What is the proposed law saying? Why are politicians pushing for the blind acceptance of such regulations without allowing time for anyone to read these bills? There are numerous bills now in question, the most pressing is HR 3200, the Healthcare Bill. But it is not the only one. Accordingly there is a danger that some legislation will be passed without adequate review by the Congress, much less the people. Such a bill, that just failed (barely) but will be back, is HR 875. What is HR 875? It is labeled the "Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009". In a nutshell it criminalizes the organic farmer and backyard gardener. It creates the food police. In short if you do not meet the criteria set forth in this bill you can go to jail, and have your property seized. If you grow a lot of tomatoes and want to sell them, you can go to jail. If you take your crop to a farmers market and sell it, you go to jail. If you grow crops for your own consumption, you go to jail. All in the name of food safety. Is this right, or is this just big brother reaching too far? There are other bills that are just as devastating. Bills that members of Congress will not read, much less understand. If these bills become law, the destruction they will cause will force this nation to become a victim of tyranny. It will become a pre-WW2 Germany. So the question remains, what's the hurry? Unless… I believe that this Congress, this administration, wants this chaos to happen. This Congress, this administration, is determined to be in power forever. To achieve that goal they must eliminate the 2010 elections (a topic for another column). Only by forcing the people into submission can they rule forever. The elite class over the masses. Masters over slaves. It can and is happening right under our noses. This country can fall,
and it can be destroyed. It has been said that no country on earth can
affect this nation by force, but we can be destroyed from within. Our
Congress, the people we elected to protect us, are now enslaving us. And
no one is stopping them. Why not? |
